I use the paid version of Screencast-O-Matic  it comntains bothj screen capture and screen recording and editing.
The free version only provided screen recording.

Thanks for that, I have an old paid version of SnagIt on my XP system, it is really great. But it is getting a little long in the tooth and may not like/be compatible win10.

I will have a look at those ones.

I did actually look in windows10 using several search terms and never found anything, I guess not many search for snipping tool :)

Use Google to do your search. :) Lot's of answers under both SnippingTool or Snipping Tool. :)
