Has anyone tried them with avast and do they work ? I am thinking of maybe trying one or both. Any opinions out there ?

Threatfire has not even been supported for three years so that should answer that question

I wouldn't use Prevx either, seems to flag almost everything you throw at it on a search.

Personally if it isn't broken don't fix it, e.g. what is wrong with your existing security that you feel you need more.

Webroot bought Prevx back in 2010.

Webroot is strictly based in the cloud. All the scanning, and identifying viruses is from the cloud, resulting in very limited CPU usage, making it unnoticeable on your computer.

Webroot is safe to use with Avast.

If you install Prevx and run a scan with out first making exceptions, it will kill avast!.
Not recommended if you're using avast! and are an average computer user.

Thanks for the info.I guess I had too much time on my hands and thought I would try something new.Your right if it ain't broke don't fix it. Already had BSoD  downloading comodo.I think its time I learned to leave well enough alone.
