10022 at start
« on: February 17, 2005, 11:34:12 PM »
I' ve had this problem since last October when I upgraded from 4.1.

I'm using xp with SP2, as soon as I open any of the user profiles I get the 10022 message telling me that the E-mail scanner will not work. If, when the system is up and running I check the network mail scanner it is shown as working, but doesn't see incoming mail. If I then shut it down and re-start it, it works fine.

My error log is:
02/17/05 21:35:58 00000180:   Started, Log = 1(0x00000001)

Error 10022 could mean that the mail scanner is blocked by a firewall.

Check out the threads mentioned HERE

Hi Eddy
I've checked these threads, one of which wasstarted by me but I never got to the bottom of it. I've checked the log following a manual start and the main difference seems to me the that "IgnoreLocalhost settings changed 1(0x00000001)' is missing from the log after a successful load.
Do I need to change the ini file? I've looked at it but cant see where the instruction comes from.
