Hello
I followed the instructions of this topic http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=96963.0, I completely uninstalled Avast, cleaned the registry, but every time I try to do something, such as link a file to an email, or open Photoshop, I jump again and again the following error message :
avast! Fatal Setup Error. Error reading product data from "C: \ part-setup_ais-ffffffff.vpx". Setup can not continue.
I need help it is impossible to continue working with this error.

Hello and welcome to the forum! :)

- Which OS? (32/64 Bit - which SP)
- Which avast-version? (Free, Pro, Internet Security)
- Which program version (7.0.1474 is the latest)?
- Other security related software installed?

DJBone
Win10 x64, APS (always latest version)
Avast Mobile Security (always latest version)

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AVs.
-> https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=574
-> http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/

1. Download avast! Free Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions..!!)
3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Continuing the problem.
I've completed the steps, but in the process of installing avast, displays the error message indicated.

I had similar issue on Japanese forum before, which had resolved by reinstalling both game software (which shows error) and avast to another place.

Try to install avast to another path, something like "C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\reinstall\".
Desktop: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-7400 3.0GHz / 32GB RAM / Avast 23 Premium Beta(Icarus) / Comodo Firewall
Notebook: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-3340M 2.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast 23 Free / Windows Firewall Control
Server: Win11 Pro 23H2 64bit / Core i3-4010U 1.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast One 23 Essential

Avast の設定について解説しています。よろしければご覧ください。

Solution in Spanisch:

Suerte !!

I am also struggling with this problem. I have only used Avast on this machine and have updated as prompted for new versions by the program.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit version, using Avast Free version 8.0.1497.

I have performed the standard recommendations several times, used aswclear in safe mode etc., no success, still getting the annoying popup every time I start the laptop up.

I cannot find any traces of older Avast versions anywhere on the computer. What now ?
