how to make avast ping to shut up?

i have turned off avast update and its on manual mode

have limited internet traffic on

wireshark still seeing avast makes 'dns noice' every damn minut

You'll also have to disable everything cloud related and CommunityIQ... at which point i'd ask myself, why do you even bother using a security software that you want to intentionally cripple?

lol, over 200 million users
so how much dns spam 200 million users do in a year?

 a question that only i can answer -im not a noob.-

do a update once a week else i want silence on my lan.

With one update a week, you'll pretty soon have quite a lot of malware traffic on your lan.

Anyway, you might want to check the option "My computer is permanently connected to the internet" in Settings / Updates / Update parameters.
