Mozilla multiple e-mail setup problem
« on: September 12, 2003, 04:11:06 AM »
Using Avast 4.160, Mozilla 1.5Beta with multiple e-mail addresses and  bumped into a minor conflict.

I have two e-mail addresses say: xxxx@yyyy.net and xxxx@wxyz.net

Problem is when I attempt to set server name for both of these addresses to 127.0.0.1 in Mozilla, it presents a duplicate e-mail address message(both are now xxxx@127.0.0.1) and refuses to make the change preventing me from scanning my incoming e-mail from one of the addresses.

Any chance Avast can listen on additional addresses besides 127.0.0.1 or is there some other way around this without changing one email address

After looking at some of the other posts about multiple e-mail accounts I have incoming mail scan working in Mozilla.(For the record I've not setup or tried outgoing scans)

In Mozilla's Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings-->
Server setting for each email account

Server: pop.example.com  ->  127.0.0.1
Username: yourname  ->  yourname#pop.example.com
