I tried to set up the Avast Mail Shield for my Mac Mail 5. One of the email addresses is through Dreamhost, and Avast is having a lot of problems recognizing my SSL certificate. Here is the relevant page on the Dreamhost wiki:
http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Certificate_Domain_Mismatch_Error The problem is that the Dreamhost certificate is in the *.mail.dreamhost.com, but my email address is in a me@mydomain.net format. I have tried many techniques to point my email domain to the dreamhost.com certificate (through the hosts file) but haven't made it work yet.
On the Avast! side, is there advice for dealing with this?
