Conflict with Norton AV
« on: February 20, 2005, 11:41:50 PM »
When I turn my computer on I get an AVANT message that it detects Norton running and that only one scanning program can run so it will disable the AVANTscanning program files.  On my second computer  which also has Norton installed I do not get that message.  I can't seem to disable Norton from my first computer.  Any suggestions as to how to correct this problem without uninstalling Norton?  I tried unchecking Norton from protecting both my appliciations and my e-mail but that didn't help.

Avast and Norton do not work together. You have to remove one of them.

Also, please note that the program is called "avast", not "avant". Avant is a web browser.
