Firewall repeatedly going inactive
« on: January 30, 2013, 03:04:15 PM »
We have just deployed avast! Endpoint Protection Suite Plus on our network.  All is working well apart, that is, the firewall component that keeps switching to inactive.  Is this normal behaviour?  The clients are a mix of mostly Windows 7 Pro with a couple of XP machines.  On my own PC (Win 7) I have manually reenabled the firewall a couple of times, but it eventually becomes inactive again.  Is there a system that I need to enable, or is it down to the client PC's to disable Windows Firewall?

Any help would be most grateful.

John

Have you disabled the Firewall from the management console in the past?

This is a fresh deployment this week, so not much has been changed from default; or do you mean on the desktop?

I meant the server/management part.

Which management console did you install?
