Network Shield and Windows 8
« on: January 30, 2013, 05:22:00 PM »
Any news on when the network shield will work properly with Windows 8. I have to disable the network shield to log into my routers. The network shield works fine with Windows 7.

I'm not proper following what do you mean with "disable the network shield to log into my routers".
What I can say is that in local software (not hardware) and using the patch available in forums, Net Shield is working with Windows 8.

Have not applied any patch since it only affects router web pages that I can determine.

This has been occurring for some time now, when will the patch make its way to a general release?

Thank you both for your non-informative replies. You obviously have no idea about the timing of a fix for this!

Applied aswnet patch and network shield problem not solved.

On Windows 8 both Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers hang when accessing Linksys, Netgear and Tomato USB router web pages. With Network shield disabled web pages do not hang and display correctly.
