I can think of no reason to disable the antivirus whilst installing another programme.  That is when you are most vulnerable, I never disable Avast

Well, Tweaking repair was throwing up the odd error that it couldn't access Avast!'s files, also the security center is reporting that Windows defender isn't on, and that it can't find an AV program. Even though avast is there.

That's OK as Avast will protect its own files and registry entries, so you can let that pass
As for windows security centre that is a known problem that we can fix later

1/3 of the updates have installed, so I'll restart when that's complete, I haven't touched Avast at all, it seems fine since I'm using the safezone of course, Formatting of the 1TB hdd, which I wish i didn't pick the long format since that's taking forever, but when they are both complete and I reboot to finish the updates, I'll get back to you.

Shutdown is hanging heavily, shall I just turn the computer off?

Rightttt. Most of the updates installed, only 3 failed, that's 108 or 109 updates installed, so can you help me with the security center part?
