Outlook/Exchange provider error
« on: February 22, 2005, 05:58:37 PM »
This AM my outlook/exchange provider experienced an error and had to close, now it is not coming back on during send/receive. In avast it says it is running but "waiting for a subsystem to start", but it is not. If I put my mouse over the avast icon in the systray during send/receive, normally it states all 7 providers are running, now it only says 6. The splashscreen that usually indicates that the provider is working also doesn't come up. No additional process becomes active in taskmanager. Any ideas what's going on?

Config:
WinXp Sp2
Outlook 2003 Sp1
Avast Home 4.6 VPS 0508-1
PIII 800mhz, 160MB RAM

Outlook About Box -> Disabled Items -> remove the avast plugin. :)
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
