I have Windows 8 Pro and I have the paid version of Avast Internet Security 7. When I had Windows XP and Windows 7, I had Avast Free version and I would get an alert whether to change the risk level of public networks every time I used a WiFi network. When I updated to Windows 8 Pro, that stopped. I was left with Windows Defender and Windows Firewall, and no option to turn it off and just use Avast. I feel like Windows 8 Pro is overpowering what I pay for and use, which is Avast Internet Security 7. I have tried to turn on the Avast Firewall but I haven't been successful. Is Windows 8 Pro strictly operating Windows Firewall by itself or is there a way to use fix what I stated in this message?
