Avast On-Acess Scanner Message
« on: February 07, 2005, 12:00:19 PM »
Hi To everyone ::)
I am a new user of your free home version Antivirus scanner
Good job done...
It was the ONE AND ONLY  Antivirus that have saved me from "about :blank" explorer  hijack virus...
I tried several ad-aware spyware and antiviruses without any succes..!
Two thumb 4 your product!
I have a minor problem to mention....
Everything is going fine except this pop-up windows
(that sometimes takes a rather 15% procent  size of my desktop)
explaining all the processes the antivirus is doing...
It is called...
AVAST On - Access screen message.
Is there a way  to desactivate or reduce his size...?!!!
It make 's me crazy.....

Thanks 4 your time....

Sure - just turn off the option "Show detailed info on performed action" in the configuration of the corresponding resident provider (Standard Shield, probably?)

I get the same message and I checked to see if I had that checked and I didn't. Is there some other reason I am getting the avast on access scanner message that pops-up?

Not really. The same option is present for other resident providers as well (not only Standard Shield), so maybe you have turned it on for another one?
What kind of locations are displayed in the messages - files, URLs, e-mails, ... ?

They were the programs I was opening, exe files were in the dialogue box. Nothing today though so maybe I just had to reboot after I changed the setting refered to previously. Thank you
