With regard to this forum, I registered OK, actioned the activation email, logged in and got the welcome message. I logged off within seconds without even looking at the forum. I then logged in again straightaway with my second PC and got the banned messages when I opened the home page and before I started to try to log in.
Thank you for your offer of help with my Avast issue.
I have never had a message from Avast in all of the years I have had it and now I am getting the one in my attachment virtually all of the time. Clicking on "More details" doesn't work.
There was some difficulty with what file the Technical Support Centre wanted me to send.
Eventually they asked for HiJackThis which indicated that the offending file
c:\program~1saveby~1\sprotr1.dll is still there.
I have had no reply from the Technical Support Centre for several days. I have sent a number of reminders.
I did a lot of work myself and found that this came from SaveByClick software but the instructions on their website how to uninstall it did not work.
http://savebyclick.info/uninstall.htmlI then expanded the entry of my HighJackThis listing which showed that the file is still in the Registry see attachment. I sent a copy of this to the Technical Support Centre but with still no reply they keeping marking it Solved but it isn’t.
What is needed is for someone to tell me please how to remove it from the registry.
My username at the Technical Support Centre is pinkcloud and Ticket Number CTR-201212.
