ZoneAlarm Pro and Avast 4.6.603

I read the post about setting a proxy server in the browser in order to try to get around the incompatibility between Avast 4.6 Web Shield and ZoneAlarm, however, I cannot find anywhere in Firefox (my browser) to set a proxy server.  Can anyone help?  Right now I've just turned off Web Shield and that has solved my problems with browsing.  Thanks.

click on Tools --> options

On the left click on "general"

towards the bottom of that screen there is something that states "Connection" and then has a button saying "connection settings".. click that.  there are the proxy settings.

I just tried this and it wasn't working (for me that is,)

You do not have to set one within Firefox see for yourself, my settings

There is a work around posted on another thread, if you can't get it working without it.

I would also suggest that you read the whole thread and do a search as this Zone Alarm issue has been discussed.
