10060 Error
« on: February 16, 2013, 02:05:58 PM »
Suddenley yesterday getting a "TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server" error for my Comcast outbound e-mail accounts only in Outlook 2000. (I'm able to send on my AOL account) "'421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 68.87.26.155(68.87.26.155:25). My outgoing server port for Comcast accounts is 587, however. If I disable Avast the e-mail sends. I am using the free version of Avast. Thanks in advance for your help.

Who has the old configuration and is affected by the problem, you should go to the tab "Settings e-mail" from your electronic messaging program and select "exit door". In this field, you need to replace the number 25 by 587.not only avast email shield

Deleting my SMTP Comcast listing under SSL Accounts per the instructions in your link resolved the issue. Thanks for your help and for posting the link.
