Avast network shield interfering with Torrents
« on: December 08, 2012, 12:11:10 PM »
Hello.

I am using Avast Free Antivirus and Utorrent build 3.2.3.

When i have Avast network shield enabled, it interferes with Torrent data, making Utorrent say "Server sends invalid data".

Turning off Avast network shield, makes this problem disappear, so i know that is the problem, and neither the torrent site, my torrent client or the torrent server for that sake.

Is there a way to put in an exception in the network shield ? - or should i just permanently disable it ?

thanks in advance

Same issue here. with latest version of avast free  >:(

I got the problem at the same time as you and found the solution only today. The Network Shield of Avast is blocking some private tracker. Strange thing, it doesn't appear as blocked see below screenshot.

is there a way of reactivate this network agent without having this issue?
