We're in the very early stages of testing Avast for an enterprise rollout. I've been installing remotely using the Enterprise Administration Console. Yesterday I installed a laptop (at the owner's request), and after the install was complete, the user could not browse anything in IE, Firefox or Chrome. We disabled Avast, and the browsers worked fine. Enabled it, and they stopped working again.
We have Avast installed on 24 hosts of every size, shape and description. Windows 7, 8, 2003 Server, 2008 Server, 2012 Server. This is the *only* host that has displayed this behavior.
We uninstalled and reinstalled twice but the behavior didn't change. The user is going to format and reinstall the OS, and then we'll test again.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
