I wrote it, I compiled it. False positive

Avast scans it, no threats found. It's an old program, been using it for years. Just today, avast still scans it as good, but kills it when I try to run it. Kills the desktop icon too. it's an alarm clock. How do I make avast leave it alone? Went to the old machine on which I wrote it, copied the exe off and restored it. same thing. Recompiled it and copied it off. Same thing.

I just want to know how to make Avast leave it alone so I can use it again.

It says:

"Add the file to the scan exclusion list"

Did you try this?

Can you give me a link to download the program (the clock alarm) so that I'll send it to virus lab ?

About 5,000 times. Apparently does no good.

I sent it once by clicking on the bottom line in the popup, so now it's been sent again. I need to know how to tell avast to ignore that file.

the case like what happen to me..

my analysis. it's happen beacuse the virus infected the file who has ".exe" extension.

oneday, my laptop had a problem. there's a trojan win32:vitro infected almost all programs who have ".exe" extension.
example: winrar, winamp, all my game..

but there are still a file who can't infected by this virus. the file who strong enough.
example: office 2007(word, excel, etc), tuneuputilities, avast, and manymore (forget)

so, the virus infected the weak file who have ".exe" extension. and the avast detect it as virus.
then, it can't be used anymore. because no executeable program can run.

Just got an email - virus definitions updated and problem solved. One of the uploads worked.
