Web Mail and Zone Alarm updates

Hi there,

I have recently activated the webmail in the new version of Avast home edition 4.6.

I have read all the help files and scoured this forum for anyone with a similar problem and I cannot find an answer so I do hope someone will be able to help me.

All seems to be working OK EXCEPT retrieving updates from Zone Alarm.

The attempting to contact Zone Labs Window just hangs every time except for the first attempt!

Unless I do this immediately after a reboot ( where the connection is successful) whilst I am on the computer for any lenght of time after the initial checking and want to check again I cannot connect with Zone alarm update site unless I reboot!!

The webscanner is configured in Zone Alarm to allow ACCESS in Trusted and Internet. I have also tried allowing it SERVER permissions but this doesn't make any difference.

Please can someone help?

I have turned off the webscanner service at the moment and I can access the updates with no problem.

I run Windows 98SE, Avast 4.6 and Zone Alarm. I use Broadband with a single PC.

I wonder how long it will be before Avast have a fix for this problem.
