As we have just released our new major version (V8), we would love to hear your feedback. So, how did we do?

It's great. I love it.

So far so good. It is an improvement over V7 but we will see.

About the same as V7

I don't like the new version. Where can I get the download links for V7?

It is a great job but I think the white background in the Free version is not the better choice, should have to be black as the paid versions

1. WebRep, SiteCorrect and Browser integration should not be in the main settings, best to move it to security > tools.
2. Need the ability to add filters for multiple languages in AdBlocker

I had to clean out my eyes with Scotch Whiskey :o twice and trying to like the bloody Avast Free home section with this HUGE light green box smiley face, and 6 HUGE grey boxes while 2 activated box doesn't really need to be in the home section and it already there in the market section which is a waste of time.

GOD Crikey :o :o :o I hate that smiley face it scaring the crap out me trying to give me a bloody cursed :o :o :o

The aesthetics of the new UI I quite like, the Metro home page is average but I'm never looking at it so it doesn't really bother me, usability/configuration is good as always and the protection levels seem to have increased from all the reports we've been hearing about.

Overall very well done :)

HI downloaded avast 8 free for two computers one has Windows 7 premium on it and the other is Windows Vista home Basic Avast 8 free works great without any problems so far.

Great work beta testers and developers of avast keep up the great work.

I absolutely love avast! pro v8. Great looking GUI. Great protection. It has everything I need and use. Nothing goes to waste.

I really like Software Updater and Browser Cleanup and the under the hood features are proving to be outstanding.

This was not a paid advertisement.

I had this problem with updating via V7's GUI. Ended up with a reinstall of my Windows 8 installation.
Clearly, something went quite wrong up here.
Can't really remember what it was exactly, but a re-install of Windows wasn't a wrong thing to do anyway.
After installing all basic stuff, I installed version 8 of Avast through the express install.
But now it's installed, from what I can see, it's quite an improvement!
My compliments to the team!
