P2P and IM shield
« on: March 01, 2013, 06:29:58 AM »
I have seen, in a couple cases, images posted where users have performed a custom install omitting P2P and IM shields.

Is there really that much to gain by doing this? There is really no performance hit in having these installed is there?

I mean, is the result noticeable?

There's absolutely no gain in removing those shields, if there not scanning anything then there not using any resources.

I keep them installed just in the event that something may try to install itself that they will detect, same as the email shield-I don't use it but it's still there to detect a spam bot installation.
