The gui says uninstalled but but the add-on is still installed and loaded when you start FF.
This addon looks way too simple,so all continue using the AdBlock Plus addon

And no need to ask...I uninstalled the add-on while FF was not running
WebRep was uninstalled successfully but not the AdBlock(I had to delete it manually)

I'm having similar problem in Firefox. Adblock is greyed out (disabled) and it doesn't enable. Can't uninstall via avast gui, it does nothin.

How do you delete it manually? :-*

It's in the FF installation directory=>extensions
Remove it when FF is not running

If you have the AdBlockPlus (ABP) add-on installed the avast AdBlocker which is based on ABP won't install.

I have 3 FF profiles and started the one that don't have ABP installed.
After I saw that the avast add-on was nowhere near as useful as the ABP,I tried to remove it(after closing FF).

Then I started the same profile(I didn't start any other profile)and saw that the add-on was still there but disable and with no way to uninstall it.
So the only solution was to delete the add-on manually

I don't know if with multiple profiles installed add-ons would be available to all but disabled until enabled I just don't know I don't use multiple profiles.

I never installed AdBlocker to start with as I already had ABP.

I also have got XP Pro, Firefox 19 and the "Avast Ad Blocker" that is in the add-on and I have uninstalled it but it's there.

How do I uninstalled this from Firefox?

Where is it installed at because it's not in the extensions folder?

EDIT:
I found the where the extension was at.

Look in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions folder and your see adblocker@avast.com.xpi that can be deleted.
