It seems that this update has issues with the webshield. Internet connection is inconsistent. I can only access facebook and twitter in chrome. I have to disable webshield to go to other websites including this forum.
DESKTOP: Win 10, Avast 20 Free, Windows firewall, Malwarebytes free

LAPTOP: Win 10, Windows Defender, Malwarebytes free, Windows Firewall, Mcshield

Sorry to be a pain, but yet AGAIN, my paid for (two years - £44.99!), my Avast Anti Virus icon has a cross on it and it says my system is UNSECURED. I've e-mailed the Avast Support Team, but they've not yet got back to me. Can anyone offer any advice, please? Thank-you.

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

I've tried that, Asyn, no Repair button to be seen! Only Change and Remove. Can you further advise me, please?

After you click on uninstall you will then be presented with another screen where you can choose the option of repair.

Thank-you, Craig. However, it won't let me do that and a Repair button is nowhere to be seen!

Download and save the removal tool http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility and a fresh copy of avast http://www.avast.com/download-software.

It doesn't sound like a normal removal is going to be possible so boot into safe mode and run the removal tool for all versions of avast you have ever installed and when completed boot back to normal mode and install your newly saved avast copy you downloaded earlier and install your license file from your email.

Far, far too technical for me, Craig! However, thank-you so much for your time and trouble - I've e-mailed Avast and await their reply. I am a complete geek when it comes to technical stuff. Once again, many thanks for your kindness.

It's a fairly simple process, to boot to safe mode keep tapping f8 while starting the computer then navigate to where you downloaded the removal to and click to run, from the drop down tab choose the version of avast you have installed and ok it to remove and when completed restart the system and install the new avast copy you saved ( hopefully that makes it more understandable )

My computer updated this this morning.  Immediately iTunes would not connect with airplay devices.  Also, Remote app will not connect with iTunes.  I have spent the last 12 hours uninstalling all apple programs and reinstalling them.  I loaded iTunes onto a laptop, and everything works perfectly.  Very frustrated at this point.  Please fix this!

Hello Mr Pavels,
I think there is another bug not being addressed by this update. It is the Self-Defense module in Settings/Troubleshooting. It is checked by default. But , I think it is interfering with VPS updates and maybe any other kind of updates. Users have to turn off self-defense in order to get auto-update to work again...And that could leave the computer vulnerable to anti-virus disabling viruses...
