Is avast.de really hacked. Scanned avast.de and avadas.de with virustotal.com- no virus

Isn't this an avast! Authorised Resellers/Distributors site ?

It redirects to avadas.de, which is an avast Distributor.

Which is why whenever I renew my Avast subscription I always get it directly from Avast and not a reseller.

The problem is all the hype about the hack is that this is an avast software domain and not an avast distributor, somewhat different, but then they wouldn't have a high profile story.

It's not an avast! official webpage. It's just parked on avast!'s official domain, but thats it.

It's not even an official domain (we don't own it).

The avast.de domain belongs to a German reseller (Procello).
We have been trying to get this domain from them for years. This incident should catalyze this.

I am using the free german version, which I downloaded from chip.de. Was there any potential danger coming from definition/program updates, or are these two completely seperated systems/organisations?

No, there is and never was any danger..!!!
Avadas (aka Procello) is just a Reseller.

Needless to say that with all the recent cyberattacks users should wise up and change the passwords they use  from time to time,

@Vlk
There could not be a better moment. Are there any other reseller forums that avast! owns or likes to own in order to bring them all under one avast! umbrella?
