antivirus and SMTP server
« on: March 11, 2013, 04:02:45 PM »
My anti virus says it has detected a secure connection from my mail program to the SMTP server 76.96.53.14 and that this type of connection cannot be checked for viruses and that I should disable SSL/TLS in my mail client so that mail scanner can scan my mail.

I don't know how to do that or really what it means. Help?

It has also come up several other times saying the same thing but with a different server number with a different website in brackets beside that.

Any advice will be great.

Sounds like Globaltrailblazer is using avast 6 or even possibly avast 6.

So Globaltrailblazer should blaze a trail to update to avast 8 as that handles SSL/TLS email traffic without having to change the email account settings.
