Automatic Virus Definition update not working

Although my Laptop is permanently connected to a wifi network the automatic virus definition updates are not working. But the streaming updates are getting. When I checked yesterday my virus database were 3 days older even if my laptop is connected to the internet. And I manually updated the database. and today the same happens. The new virus database from avast website named as 17.11.2014 - 141117-1 but my database is older. A screen shot is attached for the update section. from there last streaming update was received is shown.

Hello Arun2. No need to worry about anything! You are in good hands with Avast  . Not everyday does VPS gets an update it happens once or twice in one week. As long as you get streaming updates as shown from your attachment your pc is protected with Avast.

FYI: The VPS update notification has been discontinued by Avast.
