How do I set my computer so Avast loads when I turn my computer on?

Hi walbar,

Avast should do this by default, are you sure you rebooted after installation?

Do you have any other Anti-virus software on your machine as well as avast?

You can check the taskmanager to see if Avast is running/loaded or not.

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
You must be connected to the internet while repairing.

If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

Do you or did you have another av on that system before installing Avast?
If so, did you remove it completely (including the registry keys)?
