Is this going to require a new installation?

OK...I have now gone to the site to manually update and am receiving the following error when I run the VPSUPD.EXE file (this of course is for v4.0 since I see NO updates for the latest v4.1)...where are they

hi all men...everyone have this problem about me....i'm sure that it depends from the update url provided by Avast.
Probably is down or not working correctly!

I hope VLK will help us to solve this problem but for me the problem is just the update url from avast.

Reinstalling the program and installing manually the update do not resolve this issue!

let's try everyone in some days they will fix it i think!

Don't you use a HTTP proxy cache that may be caching the files even though new versions are already available on the Net?

Also, you may try to delete the file <avast>\setup\part-prg_av_pro-104.vpu (or at least rename/move it to some different location so that the updater won't find it) and try again. That could help.
