can not get sanner to check for new update

Hi

   I have been a fan/friend to Avast for years - I never had to join the furum cause I have never had a problem EVER
Last week (running XP) I was notified of the update to 4.1 which I did
  no problems
UNTIL todaye ..... when I click my scanner for IVas update nothing happens it seems to start looking for a download then stops and the taskbar flashed where Avast is ?? and all i can do is close the programe

        I tried runing a scan of a folder and it seems to be scanning OK
 now my mailer (outlook) is requesting a password with every mail check and zone alarm keep promting me for approval for "avast setup" I have 6 in there now from simple avast setup to setup 01 , 02 etc

what the     happened

Sorry, this was out fault. It should be fixed now.
