Avast delete my icons from desktop
« on: March 23, 2013, 12:46:31 AM »
Hello,

2 days ago i have noticed, that Avast Free is deleting my Photoshop droplet icons from desktop and in File shield protection tab says: Last infected file: path/to/my/phtoshopdropleticon.exe. If i disable avast shields, i could use droplet's like before (i use this doplets for 2 years with Avast with no problem).
Why is Avast start delete those droplets?

what malware name does avast give the file(s) ?
have you uploaded the file(s) to virustotal.com and tested?

if you think it is wrong you can report/upload the files to avast lab here
http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

you may add a link to this topic in case they reply

Tested with virustotal.com and all droplets are clean.
Yesterday i have add exception for all afected files (without restarting comp.) with no effect. After that i uncheck checkbox for: Scan programs on execution. That helps. I was able to use droplets without loosing them.
Today i check checkbox for same option as above and it works fine. I think, exception and restarting helped.
But why it was ok for 2 years until this week?
