E-mail server and virus
« on: March 10, 2005, 09:47:12 PM »
I have win SBS 2003 with runing e-mail server and AVAST for sbs2003. As i understand all users email should be scanned on server alredy.

Question: Why users still get infected e-mails in their MS outlook, where viruses get cached by Avast pro.

Great question, do one of the admins or someone have more info on this? I am trying avast on sbs2003 as well, i like what i have so far, but several of my win xp clients running pro in trial get warnings as well when sending mail...

any info is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Are those really infected emails coming thru, or simply "suspicious" messages caught by the Avast Professional Edition mail heuristics?

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

I realy do not now. I am geting this notifications by Avast Pro:
Win32:Netsky-P[Wrm]
Win32:MABUTU[Unp]
ZipPSW worm

Does AVAST for SBserver need some extra adjustment to be able to scan incoming E-mails alreday on server.
