thanks for your help and advice.
The error message text is the same I guess, translation is always a problem!
I found two files of the UNP type, unfortunately they are already rather old. Since then I have replaced the RAM, have now almost 300M
As I mentioned the message content has never changed, eg the locations
I attached the two files here.


C:\Programme\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashserv.exe caused an Access Violation at location 77889cb8 in module ntdll.dll Reading from location c0000118.


It was a good job. As you can see from the log file your problem is of READING from location X…It is still a memory access violation, but the error message should be different from a WRITING one. It is also clear that it’s the Avast code that makes all the mess by crashing the system service triggered by NTDLL.DLL.
I’ll take a look at it…
