*edit* I believe this to be a bug with the system!

I've used the avast recommendation system, I downloaded a 1 year licence after 7 friends to my LAPTOP and once I got another 7 I downloaded the 2 year one to me DESKTOP because my laptop is slow and doesn't need internet security! Now I thought the laptop would revert to the free edition but it didn't, I now have 2 licences, am I breaking the rules? could I keep it or is that not allowed? is this what is meant to be?

if you have payed for a licens, then it is valid for the amount of computers/years you have payed for
if you use avast free......well it is free

Avast Internet Security (AIS) is not free, it is a paid product.
There is no limit on how many computers "Free" can be on.
As long as it's for personal and "not" business use.  :)
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

How did you manage to do that ? if you have 7 friends you should get the license for 1 year and the count drop down to cero again. I think.

Did you download 2 licenses ?

As I understand it you add up friends to get 1, 2, or 3 years license so if you have 14 friends you can only get the 2 yesr license for 1 computer.

That's what I thought bit the 1 year didn't cancel like I thought it would so now I have 2 installations with 1+2 years of AIS!

The thing is that if you reached 14 friends and you were able to download a lincense for 7 friends and then another one for 14 friends and the count did not drop I think you just found a hole in the sys. Unless some member of the Avast! team read this topic and clear up the mix up I really do not know what to tell you.

Ok, Lol .... Should of even asked?  :P

I think its because there 2 different licences instead of 1 on 2 computers
