Wiped by malware

While travelling I got malware which knocked out my 'paid' avast protection. I tried reinstalling it but it wouldn't work.
I had to install a free internet protection in order to get some protection. I had purchased the Avast for one year for 3 computers in January 2013. How can I reinstall the Avast on my computer.

first.... have you cleaned your computer for infections?

do you need help doing it?

I got help cleaning it up but can't get the Avast to work.

attach a OTL diagnostic log, then one of the specialists will have a look inside
