False Update Notice
« on: April 10, 2013, 05:11:58 AM »
Avast keeps giving me false update notification for Adobe Reader. The Adobe Reader software I have is up to date. How do I stop these notifications? I am using Win7 on a Sony VGN FW590 laptop. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Which version of Adobe Reader are you currently using? The most current version is 11.0.02.

If you want to turn off the Software Updater permanently try Control Panel>Uninstall>double click "avast">click change>untick Software Updater>reboot.
