I recently subscribed to avast mobile security for android app. I setup anti-theft, all went really well and I'm really happy with the avast app except one thing that doesn't work as expected.
I have this habit that I turn on airplane mode at night or even turn off my phone at night. A few scenarios to show where the issue is at.
1) Turn on airplane mode, leave phone on - OK
2) Turn off airplane mode (means there's signal), leave phone on - OK
3) Turn off airplane mode, leave phone off, turn it back on - OK
4) Turn on airplane mode, leave phone off, turn it back on next day -
Not OK, because it will tell me my SIM has been changed, avast will turn off my airplane and turn on my 3G. And prompt for my avast pin code. The fact is, my sim card is still the same. Is there workaround or a fix for this?
It's not a huge deal, more to personal preference to turn on airplane mode and turn off phone during sleep. But just want to bring this to your attention as to why avast thinks SIM has changed in such scenario? And it would be great if there's a fix for it.
