avast downloads

Sometimes avast download 30-40 mb , is it normal, this downloads are updates ?

I would think not as downloads (virus definitions) for updates are measured in KBs and occasionally just over a MB.

The Software Updater if you have that enabled and had it update some of those programs monitored then that is a possibility.

But there really is insufficient information for anyone to determine either or not.

No,software updater not work, ı remove software updater. When ı disable automatic updates, streaming updates and reputation services, this big downloads stop.

Stop this downloads pls, my internet connection is adsl and ı have 6 gb quota.

You do have the option to set the vps updates to "manual". Doing this will stop streaming updates.
GUI>Settings>Updates.

No one can say as we don't know what the update relates to.

If for instance you have JAVA still installed this is a largish update. Then there is flash player that is frequently updated as it is a huge target for malware and that has two updates IE & plug-in based browsers, both of these weigh in at about 15MB each.

So we don't know from the information given of A) what programs on your system avast S.U. is monitoring or B) which required updating.
