C++ Builder 5 + Avast antivirus Home
« on: March 23, 2005, 01:18:09 PM »
Hello.
   I am using the latest avast antivirus home edition and C++ Builder 5. When avast processes are running, I have problems in C++ Builder.
When I want to save my project there is a significant delay that has becoming  insufferable.
   I tried to find what was causing this, and to my suprice when I kill processes that has to do with avast, everything is OK. I only had, networkshield, webshield and p2p shield running without standard shield but the problem persist. I can't explain this matter, could you help me, because I don't wish to unistall avast, but if there is no other way I will forced to do it :( :(

And if you stop the avast! resident providers one by one, does it help? (if yes, which one?)
What is your operating system and the basic hardware configuration?

I am so sorry. The problem was caused by a wrong path in project paths. A // slash made the project to search for a file in the network. It seemed to be Avast but I was wrong. Sorry :-[
