Error when trying to uninstall Avast Anti-Theft

I am trying to uninstall Avast Anti-Theft from my ASUS TF700 Pad.  When I run the Uninstall Wizard, it tells me that "Anti-Theft must not be set as a Device Administrator. Please remove the device administrator setting".  When I go to Settings->Security->Device Administrator, Anit-Theft is not listed there so I cannot unselect it. Any advice appreciated.
