How can I add a file to the scan exclusion list?

Occasionally, I see an Avast popup window with the message "Suspicious file blocked". When I try to click "Add the file to the scan exclusion list", nothing appears to happen. Is there any other way to add a file to the scan exclusion list?

What pop-up? Was it the autosandbox? File Shield? Behavior Shield?
Could you please provide a screenshot?
Until we know more there is very little help we could provide.
