Infection within Avast!
« on: April 30, 2013, 10:42:08 PM »
Hello,

I finished virus scanning my Macbook Pro with Avast! and BitDefender and two infections came up on BitDefender that looked like they had something to do with Avast itself.

1. Gen:Variant.Graftor.63284   Disinfect failed   /Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Program Files/AVAST Software/Avast/aswAraSr.exe
2. Gen:Variant.Graftor.63284   Object failed to be moved to quarantine   /Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Program Files/AVAST Software/Avast/aswAraSr.exe

Also, I do have Windows 7 on a seperate Partition on my computer, and I downloaded Avast on that. Does anyone know what these results mean? Should I delete these files?

Thank you.

hey and welcome to the forum.

those two files is false treat by bitdefender.

you should never run to antivirus programs at the same time.

they will conflict and will generate false threat .

you need to remove bitdefender or avast.
