Internet Connection timeout
« on: September 19, 2003, 07:10:35 PM »
Hello
I got one more problem, and I hope then I will be all set...

I get every few minutes this error message from avast:
"Internet Connection timeout, should I continue waiting?"

what's that?

I have a flat-rate DSL connection and am usually online when the PC is on.

Why do you think it's an avast message? Isn't it a message from your mail client program?
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

No, it's in an avast window, it gives the name on top and it has the look of the avast windows. I am trying one setting that I found, right now (just booted up) lets see what that does:
In the control for the 5 different services, in Internet mail, I found a setting under 'Advanced' that says "Timeout for Internet communication". I set the value to 0. No idea what it does though.
