Problem with WinSAT (Window Experience Index)
« on: May 05, 2013, 05:22:12 PM »
I ran Window Experience Index assessment
The pop-up appeared when it was testing disk and tell me that:
TempWinSAT-disk-2013-05-05-21-33-22-49.tmp is infected by Win32:Evo-gen
The file is 1 Gb so I can't move it to chest
I can't delete it, too
After I choose to block it, the file disappear
I believe that windown creat it to test my HDD.
The test seem not to end corectly as there are other 1Gb file left after it finished.
Please tell me why this is hapened or how to inspect it.
Some days ago, Avast also blocked a file with Win32:Evo-gen. Does that mean, this file is still in PC?

That is probably a false positive due to the behaviour of the file, writing and deleting large chunks of data to the HDD
