Faith,

1. What about the eicar test file, does it trigger an alert?

2. What firewall are you using?

PS. It would be very nice if you could always post one article only (maybe editing it if you forgot to say something) - the way you're doing it now, the thread grows and is much harder to read.

Thanks, :)
Vlk

Hello Vlk, now up once reacted avast! on eicars... lay to it that I with the Firefox, which Cache had not emptied. As Firewall I use the Windowseigene and one rout by AVM, the DSL Fritz box Phone As the further safety software I use ewido and the ms Antispyware. More not. I will again test and will look the beta, what rauskommt thereby. Which I had before I ewido drauf had, this Panda TruePrevent drauf had, perhaps was it because of which bit itself there which. Nevertheless I wish myself a Deinstallationsroutine in the program and not necessarily in the system control.

Saying  this files is only a test file for NOD32 Antivirus, to check if it is working correctly! Nothing less, nothing more :)

Vlk, sorry, the update trouble was due to the changed name of the avast service.
I disable my protection of that service and then I got the update  :)
Everything is working fine  8)

Problem with the Net Shield...
I can't start the provider  :(
The error message is similar to: "The specified provider failed".
What's going on?

Problem with Web Mail:

If I use an email client, everything works, I can get and send mail.
If I try to logon into the webmail page (an http that, after writting the name and password, is redirected to a https) I can't...
Only disabling WebShield provider...
It's strange, all other sites can connect...
If I add the site address to the exclusion list (the http one) it does not help... The https could not be added, as far I know...  :'(

Hello, please write me the exact error message (isn't there sth like AAVM string ???)

Here is the error...
But pk, don't be angry with me, I think it's related to ProcessGuard  :(
Why was this the only provider to be locked?  ???

Technical,

- Did you try to uninstall processguard already?
- Did you have processguard installed even with the previous version of avast, when everything was working allright?

Thanks

No. And I won't try... It's not necessary. You can disable it.
Again, sorry, the Script Blocker is working. I just can't imagine why it was the only provider 'disabled' by ProcessGuard...  ???

No, I did not. It's a new installation.  8)

Problem now is only the login at that Web Mail provider...

Sorry VLK,

but this thread has convinced me that I am not confident enough with 625 to install it.

623 is running as fine as can be.  I believe in......

If it isn't broke...don't fix it.   ;D

I'm sure that the little flaws in 625 will be fixed.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

This pre-release 635 version seemed to fix the [SYN] packet loss in WS I had while using FireFox. The old version lost a second [SYN] packet connection so some "302" redirect pages didn't work properly. Thanks for the fix.

What's the status of the pre-release now? Are there any updates planned?
