link2sd moved avast to SD card partition
« on: April 27, 2013, 02:03:02 PM »
So I rooted my phone and created a partition on my SD card with CWM. I then installed avast! mobile security and then link2sd automatically moved it to the new partition. It seemed to only scan what was in the partition it was located for the startup scan. So I was just wondering if it was ok to keep it on the partition or if I should try to move it back to internal storage?

Hello,

it's designed to stay in the SD partition. Please move it back there!

thanks,

Werner

I use Link2SD and have Avast linked to the 2nd partition, and it seems to work fine. Link2SD uses symbolic links to link apps to the 2nd partition, so the device actually thinks they're in internal storage.

it might work but it is not officially supported.
