If I update to 8.0.1488, my Windows 7 BSODs on restart
« on: May 11, 2013, 12:30:01 AM »
I'm sorry if this has been dealt with. My searches came up empty, but I may have missed it. I have tried 3 times to update AVAST to 8.0.1488, and each time I get a BSOD which blames a broken driver for stopping Windows from starting up. It is the Bluscreen that advises the user to remove any recently added hardware or software. Has this been fixed, or should I do something in order to avoid the problem? My system specs to follow, and I'm grateful for your time and any help you can offer. About to go back to work, but I'll check back tonight. Thanks!

Windows 7 64 Home Premium
Avast Pro
Outpost Security Suite Pro 8.0
Trojan Hunter Pro (not used as active scanner)
16GB RAM @ 2400 MHz
i7 3770K @ 4.8GHz (tried running it at stock, but it made no difference)
ASUS Maximus V FormulaTFX

hey you must uninstall either avast or outpost security pro because the will conflict and give false threads.

@pondus yes it has a antivirus program.
