Avast Popup upon startup

Avast apparently has detected a malware.  I've opened
Avast from the Toolbar on the lower right - no help as to how to get rid of this POPUP.  I've exhausted all the avenues I know regarding deleting this POPUP.  How do I stop this Avast POPUP from appearing;  what do I need to do?????  It is very aggrevating!!!!!

In addition to the task given to you by Asyn above, could you attach a screenshot of the pop-up?  Could help.
