Avast Business AV - Windows Client Release Version [21.6]

• Useful Smart Scan notifications — We’ve fine-tuned the behavior of Smart Scan with improved initialization steps, and ensured that you receive proper notifications about scheduled scans.
• Better feature shortcuts — We’ve changed the main tile navigation so Avast Antivirus features are easier to distinguish from shortcuts to other Avast products.
• Fewer interruptions in fullscreen - When you’re running another app fullscreen, our antivirus will no longer open on top and interrupt you. We apologize if this happened to you! (And don’t worry, threat warnings will still appear, so you’ll always know about malware even while watching your favorite film)
• Introducing Webcam Shield reminders - If you’ve configured Webcam Shield to automatically block or allow apps, we’ll now remind you of this when an app tries to access your webcam so you don’t sit around wondering why your webcam isn’t working. (For AV Pro Plus only)

• Fixed cases of infinite loader when turning off some of core shield via Settings

• Fixed a case when some of antivirus windows opened in the background (behind other full-screen app) even if this was not desired while interacting with it

Achtung: The latest renderer version stopped supporting CPUs with SSE2, so we needed to add an install block and freeze users using this older pieces of HW on 21.4 version (relevant for lower tens of thousands of users).

If you wish to upgrade your devices prior to the automatic upgrade, then you can create a new Task (Update device – Program update task) from your console. • Added the possibility to download the installer with the Agent only, while services can be installed remotely later from the Device page. To use this new feature, generate the installer with all services turned off/de-selected in the installer configuration.

Avast Business - Business Hub Release Version [8.28]

● Added a new feature Network discovery (beta) which brings you the possibility to scan your network and discover devices on it. Bringing visibility over your network is key for making sure no rogue devices are lurking in your network, and those other legitimate devices are properly configured. You can find it on the Devices page.
● Remote deployment has been replaced with a completely new implementation in the Network discovery feature. Now you can remotely deploy Avast services on a device discovered in Active Directory, or through scanning your network. Only Windows devices are supported.
● In-console Alerts got an alert detail page with additional information, recommendations, or recurrence information so that it’s easier to deal with those alerts.
● Cloud Backup device details were added to the devices managed from a multi-company console.
● The Cloud Backup widget on the main dashboard uses device alias instead of real device name.
● Cloud Backup allows local device overrides for device specific settings. Those settings won’t be overwritten by the policy.
● Virus Chest renamed to Quarantine to match with AV client interface.
● Fixed an issue with getting an error when deleting a policy.
● Fixed an issue with creating a new customer or site under a multi-company console.
● Fixed an issue with creating a new Global policy.
● Fixed an issue where a policy doesn’t load its data under rare circumstances.
● Fixed an issue where dismissing some alerts wouldn’t work properly.
● Fixed an issue with getting Patch alerts on devices where all patches are already deployed.
● Fixed an issue where more concurrent sessions were possible to initiate using the 1 concurrent session PRC license.

• Ability to ignore specific patches directly from Patches page - if you don’t want to install specific patches on all or selected devices, you can easily mark them as Ignored (in “Action” - “More actions”  - “Ignore”). Ignored patches will automatically move to the “Resolved patches” tab. You can revert ignored patches anytime from “Resolved patches” using the “Revert” action.
• Sites / Customers managed via a multi-company console won’t receive a local default policy when a global policy is assigned during the site / customer creation.
• Exclusions for Remote Access Shield now accept IP ranges.
• Improved filtering of resolved Alerts based on Event Category.
• Users with the “Viewer” role can now use the Remote Control service to initiate a remote session.
• In the Patch detail tab, devices can be filtered by status.
• Fixed an issue with the Alert settings, where it was unavailable after opening immediately after the Alerts page was opened.
• Fixed an issue with filtering migrated or reinstalled devices on the Devices page.

New Firewall interface in WinAV 21.11 [INFO]

Redesigned WinAV firewall is going to be launched together with Business Hub 8.36 release. It includes a new look and layout of settings, and new advanced features. The new Firewall will be enabled in end-clients running 21.11.
